Annual Verrier Elwin Awards in five categories

Objectives:

(1)            The recognition of excellence in different in different fields.
(2)            The encouragement for achievement.

Categories:

 The awards will be given to achievers from Arunachal Pradesh Only.

      (1)          publication /article/research in print on Arunachal Pradesh

(2)          entrepreneurship skill/community work in Arunachal Pradesh

(3)          sports achievement at the National /International level.

(4)          works  of art/entertainment  related to Arunachal Pradesh.

(5)          Educational toppers at XIIth or Higher level.

 Selection Criteria.

 A committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare will select the awardees in each category every year.

 Awards:

Each awards will carry a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-(twenty thousand) only, one shawl and one certificate. In case of sharing of awards in any of the categories, the cash will be shared.

Every year, the awards will be given on 29^th August, the birthday of Verrier Elwin

 Fund:

 The fund will be made available by District Administration, Papum Pare.
