District Industries Centre
The District Industries Centres, Papum Pare District, Yupia sets for the policy and framework for promotion and development of Industrial sector in the District.. It monitors and evaluates the growth and performance of the sector and implements appropriates policies, programme and schemes both Central and State Government as frame from time to time.
The District Industries Centre, envisaged as a single window
interacting agency with the entrepreneurs are provided under a single roof through the
DIC. They are the implementing arm of the Central and State Governments of the various
scheme and programme.
Registration of Small and Medium Industries are done at the
District Industries Center by the concerned Joint Director of Industries. The
P.M.R.Y. loan scheme for employment generation is also implemented
by the DICs.
The District Industries
Center conduct an (EDP) Entrepreneurial Development Programme (Training) to the local
entrepreneurs on different scale to acquire a knowledge to set up Industrial
Unit, management and its awareness.
The District Industries
Center also conducts the entrance examination for Industrial Training Institute (ITI)
of Arunachal Pradesh
for admission in different trades in every year.
The District Industries Center also checks and forwards the incentives of the SSI units to the Directors of Industries, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar for grant of subsidy like 50%/90% Transport subsidy, 15 % Capital Investment subsidy and 3% Interest subsidy on Investment as per the industrial Policy of the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, and also application for registration under various subsidy scheme are forwarded to the Govt. after necessary verification and formalities for registration.
In addition to above, the District Industries Centre use to certify the feasibility and viability of Schemes of the different schemes such as DRDA, APKVIC, NGO's and other Centrally Sponsored schemes.

Besides all above, DIC, Papumpare, in collaboration with NSIC, Guwahati is sponsoring entrepreneurs to different training institute such as NSIC Technical Service Centre- Kolkata, CFTRI- Mysore, SISI- Coimbatore and NIRD-Hyderabad etc. A total of 65 Nos. of entrepreneurs from this district have been sponsored in this way. Also opportunities were given to 06 Nos. of SSI units to participate in Trade Fair at New Delhi organised by DONER.
ITI, YUPIA:
ITI Yupia has started its functioning from the academic session August/2006 under direct administrative control of Principal. A total of 22 nos. trainers were enrolled against 02 (two) trades viz- Secretary Practice and Hair and Skin care. Rest of the trades will be started from the next academic session.
Presently, a total of 20 nos. of staff (including) technical, ministerial and Grade IV are working in the Institute. The Institute was also visited twice by high level team headed by Secretary, Labour & Employment, New Delhi after its activation.
