A lot of competitions/functions are planned to be organized at State Library, Itanagar during the proposed Book Week.

(A) Painting competition: Arts Society will organize  this competition on 14/11 at 11AM in two categories- upto class V ; class VI to class VIII. The District Administration will provide financial support.

(B) Essay competition: DDSE, P/Pare will organize on 15/11 at 11AM in two categories -  Junior(upto class VIII) on "Importance of Library" and Senior (IX-XII) on "Books for the development of Arunachal Society". SSA will provide the awards.

(C) Quiz competition: KV school Naharlagun will organize on 16/11 at 11AM in two parts. Preliminary round will select six teams(two members each) on the basis of written test at the venue. The final round will be conducted at 2PM.

(D) Ex-tempo speech : LIONS club will organize on 17/11 at 11AM.

(E) Debate competition: DUDA, P/Pare will organize with the help of DIET P/Pare on 18/11 at 11AM.

(F) Poetry recitation: on 19/11 at 11AM.

(G) Symposium : Himalaya publishers will organize it on the topic of "Reading habit and Arunachal" on 20/11 at 11AM by inviting selected persons.

(H) Concluding Function: State Library will organize it with financial support of the District Administration. All the awards will be given.         

 Library will launch special membership drive during this period and will offer discount to the students. Himalaya Publishers has already agreed to give 'Best reader' award to a person selected by the library staff on 20/11/2002.
